On Friday September 22nd, 2023, École Mgr. Scheffer held a day dedicated to the memory of Terry Fox. They held a lunch in the school’s gymnasium to which they invited the population of the community to join. Ms. Brenda Joncas and Candice Osborne gave a presentation on who Terry Fox was, and the kids were asked Terry Fox trivia questions. The participants also signed a Terry Fox poster on who they were walking for.
After lunch and a few activities, the participants were given commemoration items such as stickers and tattoos and they left the school and walked towards Blanc-Sablon via Pointe-au-Pot, lots of the kids were accompanied by their parents. Grades 4 and under had the option of stopping at the end of the road and waiting, most participants, even the younger ones, continued the walk to the Inukshuk since the weather cooperated for the event. The younger kids walked a total of 2 km, and the older kids walked a total of 5 km.

Le vendredi 22 septembre 2023, l'école Mgr. Scheffer a organisé une journée dédiée à la mémoire de Terry Fox. Ils ont organisé un dîner dans le gymnase de l'école auquel ils ont invité la population de la communauté à se joindre. Mme Brenda Joncas et Candice Osborne ont fait une présentation sur l'identité de Terry Fox, et les enfants ont été invités à répondre à des questions sur Terry Fox. Les participants ont également signé une affiche Terry Fox pour laquelle ils marchaient.
Après le dîner et quelques activités, les participants ont reçu des objets commémoratifs tels que des autocollants et des tatouages. Ils ont ensuite quitté l'école et marché vers Blanc-Sablon en passant par Pointe-au-Pot, beaucoup d'enfants étant accompagnés de leurs parents. La plupart des participants, même les plus jeunes, ont continué à marcher jusqu'à l'Inukshuk car le temps était favorable à l'événement. Les plus jeunes ont parcouru un total de 2 km et les plus âgés un total de 5 km.
