LOCAL NEWS - SEPTEMBER 11, 2020 - MISTAKE MADE IN POSTAL CODE OF YESTERDAY'S COVID STATS FOR THE MRC DU GOLFE DU SAINT-LAURENT
The positive case of COVID-19 announced for the MRC du Golfe du Saint-Laurent on September 10th is not a resident of the Lower North Shore or of the North Shore.
Warden of the MRC du Golfe du Saint-Laurent, Randy Jones, posted this on facebook this morning, relaying a communication with Constance Monger of the CISSS de la Cote-Nord:
Good day,
Following the investigation carried out to communicate with each individual who have been in contact with the infected person and after confirmation from this person, we would like to inform you that the positive case of COVID-19 is not a resident of the Lower North Shore or of the North Shore. Due to a postal code and address entry error, this case will be removed from our distribution and will be transferred to the concerned region within the next 48 hours.
Dr. Richard Fachehoun will address this at the CISSS de la Côte-Nord press conference today at 3 p.m. Since we have no cases to report, we will not be issuing a press release.
