About the Role

The Corporation de Développement Touristique et Culturel du Canton de Brest (Blanc Sablon Tourism Committee) is seeking candidates for the following summer student positions:
TOURISM INFORMATION OFFICER (2 Positions)

JOB TASKS:
- Welcome visitors at the tourism centre and provide information about the region;
- Promote tourism attractions, places of interest and businesses in the region, in response to the needs of the visitors;
- Maintain cleanliness of both the centre and surrounding property, including outdoor tasks; Animate and update the Centre's Facebook page; help develop promotional tools;
- Respond to visitor requests for information, compile visitor statistics;
- Assist with fundraising initiatives and other pertinent duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Student must be mature, responsible, reliable, creative and able to work flexible hours;
- Must have strong communication and customer relation skills; bilingualism is important;
- Must work well on own initiative and as part of a team setting;
- Knowledge of digital technology, local history / heritage would be considered an asset;

WORK CONDITIONS:
- Location: Blanc Sablon Tourism Centre
- Start date: - Position will begin in June 2025, exact date to be determined
- Duration: - 8 weeks
- Rate of pay: $19.00 / hour x 35 hours per week
